Messinia

The Peloponnese, fully arrived.

Olive groves to the sea, medieval castles on the bays, and a UK-served airport at Kalamata. The most complete property region in our territory.

Messinia is the region that has shifted most in the last twenty years. Costa Navarino put it on the international map, but the soul of the region was already there: long sandy beaches, olive groves stretching down to the water, Venetian castles at Methoni and Koroni, the Bay of Navarino. Kalamata is a working modern city with an international airport. Stoupa and Kardamyli, on the Mani border, are different country entirely and we cover them through the Mani page.

The price band here is the broadest in our territory. A village apartment in inland Messinia and a seafront villa near Costa Navarino are not the same purchase, and we work both.

Buyer profile

The full spectrum, well served.

First-time Greek property buyers using the direct UK flights to Kalamata as a deciding factor. Investors building rental portfolios on the back of the Costa Navarino halo. Relocation clients who want a working city nearby. Premium buyers commissioning villas in the protected coastline above the Bay of Navarino.

The brief

Land with planning. Coast with clarity.

Olive grove plots with clean title and viable planning, particularly in the hills above the Messinian Gulf. Renovation projects in the historic villages around Pylos, Methoni and Koroni. New build sites within the agreed planning corridors near Costa Navarino. Coastal apartments in Kalamata for buyers who want a yield from day one.

Messinia rewards a wide brief.

The region works for a first villa, a working farm, a Costa Navarino sea-view build, and most things in between. Tell us what you are thinking and we will tell you, honestly, where in Messinia it should sit.
